The ITI Program at SC&I
The Information Technology and Informatics Program at the School of Communication & Information, affectionately known as ITI offers students a pathway towards a career in Information Technology and the Information Sciences. This is a 39 credit undergraduate major offered through the Department of Library and Information Science at the School of Communication & Information. The ITI Program places emphasis on:
- the evaluation, implementation, use, and management of information technologies in organizations.
- the social and organizational aspects of information and communication technologies including web design, game creation, information visualization, and prototyping tools.
The ITI Program unites theories drawn from the humanities and social sciences with practical computer-based competencies and experiential learning opportunities to help students discover and nurture their IT interests.
